Detector Control and Readout Card (DCRC)

(SuperCDMS SNOLAB Project WBS 1.5.2)

(Toback CDMS Group Homepage)

The Detector Control and Readout Card (DCRC) is a single piece of electronics that performs the necessary functions to control the SuperCDMS detectors and collect data from them. Among its functionalities: It provides bias voltages and currents for the detectors, amplifies and digitizes signals from the detectors with ultra-low-noise electronics, buffers and processes the recorded signals to identify events of interest (level 1 trigger), and provides the recorded signals to the data acquisition computers upon request, it also provides thermometry data from the detectors and controls the LED flashers that help to neutralize the detectors.
