RunControl page is the page we will use to test and take data in the test facilities. The page will include three boxes: Current Status, Take Data Now with the Current Settings and Take Data with Intermittent Flashing.
The box of Current Status will display current run status and series number. The "Stop" button here can stop current data taking if a series is running. The box of "Take Data Now with the Current Settings" is used to take basic run with current settings and without intermittent flashing, which is useful for debugging and test. The box of "Take Data with Intermittent Flashing" is used to take physics run with intermittent flashing.
For both boxes of "Take Data Now with the Current Settings" and "Take Data with Intermittent Flashing", the users can choose to record the data to disk or not. If the users choose to record the data, the "Information to Store in the Run-Information DB for this Series” dialogue box will appear and ask users provide more run information. Then if the "Start" button is clicked, it will start a new series of data taking and the information provided by user will be written to the run information database (which is separate from ODB). And the series number will be automatically generated. The error checking for "Start" button will let users know if data taking is already started.
