Kickoff GPS Meeting (7/7/9) ------------------------ In attendance: Authors: Culbertson, Goncharov, Lee, Pronko, and Toback GPS: Bortoletto, Loginov and Somalwar No questions on the analysis Notes on the PRL: Basically in good shape! 1) Recommend a better motivation in the intro so we can get it into PRL. More up front since PRL is getting more strict. Tell the results that are new in the intro. For example, limit goes from 125 to 150, and these are first limits for low lifetime in ggMet and cover the previously uncovered region. Say WHY EMTiming and MetModel is important. 2) Difficult for the reader to know what the dominant systematic errors are for the various components. Try to make it more explicit. 3) The structure is a little funny since we talk about the systematics before the final cuts. 4) GMSB parameters: Leave it on the figure and in the caption, don't put in the text. Leave it as is unless the collaboration complains. Current vote: Andrey votes for this way, Daniela would like to see it added for completeness in the place we start talking about limits, Sunil is solidly on the fence. 5) Figures ok in Black and White? Is it worth trying to make it less printer dependent by using lines instead of color? 6) Give MetModel a "name"? Make sure we coordinate with PRD, diboson PRL? Small caps? Similar to SECVTX. 7) Don't put the word "CDF" in Figure 3. Figure 1 is fine with it in. 8) Pull out Reference 1 by GPS request. Not unreasonable to get this to the collaboration by August. The plan is for Eunsin to make the 0.4 version by the end of this week along with all the responses to the GPS comments. GPS will then have comment during the next week.
